Rheumatic Fever rapid response

As part of the campaign to address Tairāwhiti’s high rates of rheumatic fever Turanga Health is the district’s prevention programme coordinator. 

Rapid response clinics at general practices mean parents and caregivers can get help every time a child has a sore throat.  

Turanga Health acts as a conduit between patients and Hauora Tairāwhiti. Kaiāwhina conduct a follow up programme with phone calls and home visits.
