Vanessa Lowndes Centre provides:
- Courses in Computing, Literacy and Numeracy, Te Reo Maori, Maori Wood Carving, Bone Carving, Light Engineering, Ceramics, Sewing, Harakeke, Arts n Crafts and Catering.

We have four community based courses:
- Outwork: This module involves all types of outdoor work e.g. mowing, weeding, gardening, furniture removals, etc.
- Home Maintenance: This module is based on Nga Marae and involves gaining vocational skills and experience in carpentry, painting, redecorating, renovations, general repairs, etc.
- Farming: Vanessa Lowndes Centre has established a Life Style Block at Tawatapu, and gives individuals an opportunity to gain skills associated with keeping live stock, e.g. pigs, sheep, chicken, and general farm skills.
- Horticulture: Vanessa Lowndes Centre has a community garden and this enables individuals to gain skills associated with all aspects of preparing and maintaining a garden and harvesting produce.
- Vanessa Lowndes Centre has a Supported Employment Service, enabling individuals to access work experience, part time and / or full time employment opportunities in the community.
- Vanessa Lowndes Centre has a full Support Service, offering assistance, advise, advocacy to individuals where and when required.
- Vanessa Lowndes Centre has an Early Intervention Service, 'Youth at Risk".
- Supported Recreation includes Noho Marae, Camping, Diving, Fishing, Morere Hotpools, Guest Speakers, Whanau Trips, etc.
